Dr. Ashish Bhatt

Chief Medical Director

Dr. Ashish Bhatt, MD, MRO is recognized as a leading physician, addiction medicine specialist, and psychiatrist. He is known to be “exact and precise”, taking a comprehensive, ecological and holistic approach to all patient diagnostic assessments and treatment. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both adult, child and adolescent psychiatry. This expertise allows him to recognize various illnesses which occur throughout the lifespan. Dr. Bhatt is also Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and a Certified Medical Review Officer. He has extensive experience in a variety of substance abuse treatment programs, and psychiatric and co-occurring diagnosis programs for both adults and adolescents, and has served as the Chief Medical Officer for regional and national behavioral health companies. He has been involved in medical and administrative leadership, as well as the development of both public and private substance abuse and dual diagnosis facilities. Dr. Bhatt did his fellowship at the University of Miami, at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he also served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Chief Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Inpatient and Emergency Crisis Services, and the Director of the Adult Intensive Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Bhatt has experience serving in administrative and medical directorship positions for multiple inpatient units, detox units, inpatient residential dual-diagnosis facilities, and outpatient settings. Dr. Bhatt is highly recognized for his thorough and comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and assessment processes, using the latest in evidence-based treatment approaches to address a patient’s needs. A current and accurate diagnosis is essential to providing effective treatment, taking a multi-factorial perspective, and looking into multiple domains of a patient’s life to address their current condition, beyond a bio-psycho-social model.
