Amy has over 20 years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorder, severe and persistent mental illness, and those with co-occurring disorders across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. She graduated from Ohio University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree and obtained a master’s degree in counseling from George Washington University in 2004. As a therapist and group facilitator, she uses cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused strategies to help clients reach their goals. Her passion has always been to help people become the best version of themselves. Amy is a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor (LCADC) and her license to be a professional counselor (LPC) is currently pending state board approval.
