Cheetara Goodwin

Primary Therapist

Cheetara was born and raised in North New Jersey and relocated to South Jersey in 2023. She entered the field working as a Substance Abuse Counselor Intern at a methadone clinic while continuing her education. She graduated from New Jersey City University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2010. In 2013, Cheetara enhanced her career at a state psychiatric hospital and obtained her CADC certification. She decided to further her education and was accepted to Capella University in 2017. In 2020, she graduated and received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2021, Cheetara obtained her LCADC licensure. Cheetara has experience in working with the substance abuse and mental health population. She has capabilities in providing individual, group, and family therapy. She utilizes several treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She has a passion for meeting clients where they are and fostering hope and growth.
