Wet drugs, also known as embalming fluid drugs, are dangerous and addictive drugs that have emerged in recent years. These drugs are made by mixing embalming fluid, which is used to preserve dead bodies, with other substances such as marijuana or PCP. The resulting drug is often referred to as “wet” because of how it looks and feels.

What Is Embalming Fluid?

The hazardous embalming fluid comprises formaldehyde, methanol, glutaraldehyde, and other solvents. The varying concentrations of formaldehyde range from 5% to 37%, and methanol content can range from 9% to 56%. While embalming fluid is commonly associated with funeral homes, it is readily available for purchase from chemical companies both online and in-person. Handling the fluid requires utmost care, as inhalation or skin exposure can lead to severe and potentially fatal long-term health consequences.

What Does PCP Mean?

PCP is phenylcyclohexyl piperidine, but it is commonly referred to as angel dust. This substance continues to be produced and used illegally because of its mood, mind, and perception-altering effects. PCP also has the ability to make some people very agitated and cause violent behavior.

In the 1950s, this intravenous anesthesia was developed in the United States. Due to its sedative properties, in addition to its amnesia and analgesic side effects, it was pulled from the U.S. market in 1965. People who were using it seemed to have a high incidence of postoperative delirium and psychosis

The Dangers of Wet Drugs

Wet drugs are highly addictive, and they can have serious and unpredictable effects on the body and mind. These drugs are often sold on the black market, where they are not subject to the same regulations and quality controls as prescription drugs. This means that users often have no idea what they are consuming when they take wet drugs, and they may be ingesting dangerous and toxic substances without realizing it.

One of the primary dangers of wet drugs is that they are highly unpredictable. Because these drugs are made by mixing different substances together, the effects can vary widely depending on the specific combination of ingredients. This can make it difficult to predict how a particular batch of wet drugs will affect an individual user.
