Drug Rehab Centers for Philadelphia Residents

If you are located in or near Philadelphia and are struggling with addiction it is important to find a treatment facility that is top of the line to help you get back on track. Legacy Healing has been accredited the Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission due to our high quality of services and behavioral health care programs. This award was given to us based on evidence from the clinical process proving that our programs provide the best treatment for specific conditions. Legacy’s team is committed to helping individuals struggling with addiction get clean in a safe and comforting environment.

Our unsurpassed clinical care offers a range of treatment programs, giving each specific individual the care they need. Before starting a treatment program, each individual is evaluated by a set of medical, psychiatric, and social assessments that together help us to form an individualized treatment plan. After completing the assessments and forming a treatment plan, the patient will be recommended one of the following levels of care:

PHP – Partial Hospitalization Program: Partial Hospitalization Program is frequently one of the first steps for individuals suffering from an addiction. This type of program is a 6 day a week program that is ideal for individuals who may be resistant to treatment, lacking supportive social or family support, or prone to relapse.

IOP- Intensive Outpatient Program:  Our Intensive Outpatient Program is a fantastic solution to help individuals who have completed PHP or another form of inpatient treatment to maintain sobriety. This type of program helps people adapt to life responsibilities and reintegrate back into society while remaining clean and sober.  IOP is a program that helps vulnerable individuals that are faced with challenges in adapting to sober daily life or are vulnerable to relapse. The intensive outpatient program offers community housing for those who want it, group and individual therapy, 12- step meetings, and sober social activities. Patients who participate in an IOP will receive a minimum of nine hours of clinical treatment per week with a flexible schedule to ensure that responsibilities outside of treatment are met.

Outpatient Program: An outpatient program is a program that can begin after completing an intensive outpatient program. This is non-residential and is specifically for individuals who have fully integrated back into society. The outpatient program is highly flexible and offers one hour weekly therapy sessions in addition to other recovery activities.  This type of program is here to provide individuals with the help they need to cope with inevitable bumps on the road and ensure that they are continuing to live their best life.

Family Program: Legacy offers a unique program to work with families because they understand that families can suffer just as much as a person struggling with addiction. Legacy is dedicated to helping the whole family and giving them the support they need. Family programs offer education and training to families to help them become a positive force for change in the life of their loved ones. These sessions may be held with or without the individual struggling with addiction and is ultimately a program to make sure that families are giving the support they need and not unintentionally enabling high-risk behavior.

Our certified staff knows that recovery is not an easy road and have dedicated their life’s work to help each and every individual find the road to recovery. If you live in Philadelphia and are in search of a substance abuse treatment center, allow us at Philadelphia Legacy Healing Center to be your guide on the road to recovery.

Alcohol Rehab Centers for Philadelphia Residents

When an individual decides to get treatment for alcohol addiction or abuse, Legacy is here to provide the therapies and programs needed to get clean. Our highly trained staff and experienced therapists take care of our clients, giving each and every individual the opportunity to get to the root of the addiction and recover in a safe environment.

After speaking to admissions at Legacy, the first step in alcohol addiction treatment is to complete a detox program. This program is extremely important because it gives the body the change to prepare for recovery by cleansing all the toxins and starting with a blank slate. This process can be painful and difficult and because of that, it is completed under medical supervision, ensuring the safety and comfort of the client.

Once the detox program has been successfully completed, clients are then recommended to complete an inpatient treatment program, according to their individualized treatment plan, which requires them to stay in a treatment facility for the recommended amount of time. Inpatient treatment involves comprehensive behavioral therapies that allow individuals to learn about their addiction, recognize and avoid triggers, and know what to do when they happen upon challenging situations.

Inpatient treatment programs at Legacy provide clients with clinical treatment while helping them through the 12 steps to sobriety and building skills that can help mend relationships and their overall health.

Once the recommended inpatient treatment program has been completed, clients are offered outpatient treatment programs to help cement newfound skills and provide accountability. These types of programs give individuals the skills to maintain sobriety while also re-adjusting to real life.

Alcohol is one of the most commonly abused substances in the United States, making it a leading cause of death and disease nationwide. Admitting that alcohol is a problem is difficult but admitting there is a problem is sometimes the most difficult step to overcoming alcohol addiction and finding the road to recovery.

How Does Drug Detox Work?

Participating in a detox program is one of the most parts of getting your body healthy and working towards healing. Detoxing from an addiction to drugs is difficult, which is why Legacy provides patients with a medically supervised process that gives the body the ability to safely detox, in the least painful situation. This process is always supervised because the withdrawal symptoms felt can sometimes be severe, which is why our trained staff is there to help clients be comfortable and ensure stability and safety throughout the whole process.

Once one begins the detox process, withdrawal symptoms can begin to be felt within the first 24 hours growing in intensity in the 48 – 72-hour mark. After reaching the 72 hour period, a decrease in the intensity of withdrawal symptoms may be felt. These symptoms can be felt up to a week after beginning the detox process. Some of the symptoms felt may include:

 – Anxiety

 – Restlessness

 – Insomnia

 – High Blood Pressure

 – Rapid Heartbeat

 – Excessive Sweating

 – Blurred Vision

 – Tearing

 – Dilated Pupils

 – Muscle & Joint Pain

 – Nausea

 – Vomiting

 – Abdominal Pain

 – Diarrhea

 – Dehydration

This process works because the body is given the time and ability to safely get rid of the toxins it has built up throughout its dependency on substances. Once the program has been completed individuals can begin to work on other therapies and treatments to begin to heal the mind and the rest of the body. Our recovery program is designed to empower our patients to live a life free from addiction. Seek treatment at the earliest signs of substance abuse. Our centers provide atmospheres of acceptance as well as pushing individuals to be their best self.

The detox process always varies in length and intensity because of certain factors related to the individual. Age, length of use, physical health, and mental health all play a role in how a patient goes through detox and therapy. No matter the circumstance, Legacy Healing Center’s detox is supervised by medical professionals who are experts at determining the correct process for each individual.

How Does Alcohol Detox Work?

Alcohol addiction is a dangerous addiction that can have lasting effects on the body.  Alcohol, like drugs, causes changes to the brain that makes quitting difficult and results in severe withdrawal symptoms. Due to the difficulty and the severity of the addiction, it is important for individuals to complete a medically assisted detox program such as those found at Legacy Healing Center.

An alcohol detox program is very similar to a drug detox program because it embodies many of the same treatments and monitoring. Alcohol detox is monitored 24/7 by medical professionals and is the most important first step in recovery because it is the time in which the body is able to rid itself of the dependence on alcohol. Just as with drug detox, an alcohol detox program is best completed in a medical facility because of the full-time care, and the ability to monitor the individual and their pain levels.

The importance of medical detox is to ensure that withdrawal symptoms are not too severe. Withdrawal symptoms are commonly felt within 24 hours of beginning the detox and can be intense for 48-72 hours. After that, they can continue for up to a week but with less intensity. Once the alcohol is out of the system and the withdrawal symptoms have ceased, individuals are able to focus on treatment and behavioral therapies to overcome the alcohol use disorder.

How Long Is Rehab?

The length of rehab varies greatly by person and by the type of addiction. There are certain things that have to be taken into consideration to correctly assess the length of a rehabilitation program and ultimately an initial assessment by medical professionals will detail the recommended length of time in a program.

Call Legacy Healing Center 24/7 to speak with an intake specialist.  Calls are completely confidential.  888.534.2295

Here are a few factors that are taken into consideration when determining the recommended length of a treatment program:

 – Age

 – Physical Health

 – Mental Health

 – Length of Addiction

 – Type of Addiction

 – Presence of Co-Occurring Disorders

Once a client has been evaluated at Legacy Healing Center they will be given a recommended length of treatment based on the evaluation findings. In most cases, the minimum recommended time in a treatment program is three months but there are also 60 and 90-day programs. Here you can find a breakdown of each type of program:

30-Day Rehab – A 30-day rehab program is an intensive treatment program that lasts for 30 days and includes all the elements that an effective treatment program can provide. These important elements include a medically-assisted detox, behavioral therapies according to the individual’s needs, and holistic healing programs according to the individual’s needs.

60-Day Rehab – A 60-day rehab program at Legacy Healing Center will give individuals all the benefits as the 30-day program but will on top of that gain the extra time needed to dedicate themselves to long-term sobriety goals. When more time is spent in a program, individuals are given the ability to establish sober habits and work on skills needed to prevent relapse and future use.

90-Day Long Term Rehab – A  90-day long term rehab program offers the same elements as the 30-day program such as the medically-assisted detox, behavioral therapies, and holistic healing programs and is geared towards severe addictions. The length of this type of program gives patients in the program a great amount of time to focus on long-term recovery from substance abuse. Once this program is completed, individuals will be given the opportunity to maintain sobriety through alumni events, a personal sober coach as well as sober social engagements.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage For Rehab?

Finding out if your insurance will cover the cost of treatment can be established by making a call to your insurance company or calling Legacy Healing Center to speak to an admissions counselor to find out more about health insurance stipulations. Insurance commonly covers a 30-day stay in an inpatient treatment program but each insurance is different and there may be limits to the type of services that are covered within the program.

If you don’t have insurance, it is possible to be eligible for financial help through Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare for veterans. Legacy is here to work with you to help you find out which programs are covered at our facilities and how to move forward about entering a treatment program.

If you would like guidance on finding out about your health insurance options regarding what percentage would be covered for an individual’s stay in a treatment program, or more information on financial help, call us today to find out more information. Legacy’s helpline is 100% confidential and can be reached at 888.534.2295.

At the end of the day, a treatment program at Legacy Healing Center will be a lot less expensive than supporting a substance abuse addiction. Legacy Healing Center is here to help every step of the way to make sure that cost, insurance coverage, and everything else is understood before making the decision to enter a program.
