What To Expect During Rehab

When you are combatting an active addiction to drugs, it is often difficult to imagine a life other than the one you’re currently living. Addiction involves a vicious cycle that is hard to break without help. The first step on the road to recovery is to reach out to the professionals at the Legacy Healing Center.

One of the first things to consider before starting treatment in one of our Behavioral Health Centers is whether you should first go through our detox program. Attending our medical detox is the ideal way to ensure that your overall health is not put in jeopardy when you stop taking your drug of choice. It’s important to remember that you will likely experience a range of withdrawal symptoms including but not limited to nausea, shakiness, and anxiety. If you have been battling a long-term addiction, you may experience more severe, even potentially deadly, withdrawal symptoms. It is never advisable that you attempt to detox without the assistance of an experienced professional. When you come to our detox facility, you can rest assured that our medical professionals will monitor you around the clock, helping you stay safe and comfortable.

After detoxing your body, you will be much more clear-headed and ready to delve into multiple forms of therapy to help you recover from the underlying causes of substance abuse.  Therapy is an essential part of your overall recovery. Group therapy, including 12-step meetings, help you to learn more about yourself by relating to the experiences of others. Engaging in this type of therapy is also an excellent way to help you build your own support system by interacting with other patients.

It is understandable that there may be past traumas or other parts of your life that you don’t wish to talk about in a group setting. For deeper, more personal work you will participate in one on one therapy.  Individual therapy gives you the chance to talk about these experiences with one of our highly skilled counselors.  Talking with counselors also gives you the opportunity to check in with how you feel and know how long does rehab lasts.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

Many patients come to us with concerns about the cost of treatment. Our team goes above and beyond to ensure that our services are available to everyone regardless of their financial situation. If you do not have private insurance and you are worried about the costs associated with your treatment, be sure to speak to one of our intake specialists.  We will do everything we can to ensure that the cost of getting the right treatment does not interfere with your overall recovery.

What is the Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment?

At Legacy Healing Center, we offer both inpatient and outpatient treatment plans. When you opt to enroll in our inpatient program, also known as our Partial Hospitalization Program or PHP, you will spend six days and nights per week on our campus. This highly-structured program is designed to help you learn healthy routines and keeps you focused on your recovery. Throughout the day you will take part in therapy and meetings and spend time getting to know your peers.

We also offer an intensive outpatient program, also known as IOP, as well as our general outpatient program. Our intensive outpatient program involves a minimum of nine hours of clinical treatment per week. You will work with one of our counselors to develop a schedule and a flexible treatment program that suits your needs. This is particularly helpful for patients that have other responsibilities such as school or work.

Our outpatient program is best suited for patients who need help but still need to meet full-time work or school commitments.  Outpatient participants have access to various types of therapy including 12-step meetings and a one-hour weekly therapeutic session. We can create a schedule for you to work through this program either during the day or at night.
