Alcohol Rehab Centers for Oyster Bay Residents

An aspect of alcohol addiction that is often overwhelming for many people is that alcohol is so readily available. The majority of liquor stores throughout the country often start to open mid-morning, with bars and restaurants opening shortly after that. Additionally, there are usually several commercials for different types of alcohol on any given channel on television throughout the day. As a result, it’s not surprising that people struggling with alcohol addiction feel they cannot maintain their sobriety without help.

Our alcohol rehab provides you with the safe and protected environment that you need to take the first steps toward sobriety. We will teach you what you need to do to address your addiction and help you put together a plan that will help keep your sobriety intact as you begin to transition into being back home full time.

Addiction Treatment Centers
for Oyster Bay Residents

One of the top reasons why many of our clients decide to come to Legacy is that we take a personalized approach to develop every treatment plan. From the moment that you reach out to us, you will feel the difference. We take the time to get to know you and your story. Is there something specific that happened in your life that may have triggered your addiction? What are some of your goals as you begin to work through your program? Where would you like to see yourself in the future? Our team believes that the answer to all of these questions is vital for formulating a successful treatment plan.

You will need to make several decisions regarding your treatment plan when you first come to Legacy. First and foremost, you will need to decide whether you will work through an inpatient program or an outpatient program. For clients who choose to work through an inpatient program, you will live on the Legacy campus throughout your program’s duration. You will have the peace of mind of knowing that you have a warm and comfortable bed to sleep in every night, access to healthy and delicious food throughout the day as well as the option to take advantage of our luxurious amenities. Would you like to workout with a personal trainer? Perhaps you would like to spend an hour enjoying a massage? Just let us know, and we will set you up.

Of course, we realize that not every client will have the flexibility to enroll in our inpatient program. Personal or professional responsibilities may stop you from being able to commit to that type of program. For clients that fall into this category, we provide you with the opportunity to enroll in either our intensive outpatient program or our general outpatient program. Clients that decide to take advantage of our intensive outpatient program will participate in at least nine hours of therapy per week. Our general outpatient program clients will receive less but still receive the same level of care that any of our other clients would receive. We will work with you to develop a program that does not conflict with your other obligations.

Regardless of whether you decide to enroll in our inpatient or outpatient program, you will still participate in various therapy forms that will help you come to the root cause of your addiction and help you overcome it. Individual therapy is an example of one such therapy that will play an essential role in your treatment plan. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to speak one on one to a member of your team about various issues. From the triggers in your life to how you feel you are progressing along your recovery journey, individual therapy will cover all of these critical issues. Keep in mind that if you feel as though you need to change your treatment plan or you would like to extend it, we can help you do that during individual therapy.

Interacting and communicating with other clients at Legacy is invaluable, so we actively encourage every client to participate in group therapy. During group therapy, a member of our team will guide discussions that will touch on different topics. Some sessions may revolve around various details associated with recovery, while other sessions may focus exclusively on relapse prevention. By sharing your thoughts and opinions and, in turn, listening to the views and opinions of others, you can develop a better understanding of these critical subjects. Additionally, taking part in group therapy is a wonderful way to begin making connections with other people in your group.

Sadly, it’s not uncommon that the relationships you once held dear may have fallen to the backburner as your addiction began to take hold of every aspect of your life. It’s important to remember that addiction tends to be a family disease because it has an impact on nearly every member of your family in some way, shape, or form. Once you genuinely focus on becoming sober, you may come to find that you miss these relationships that once meant so much to you. This is where family therapy comes into play. Family therapy allows you to begin to reconnect with members of your family so that you can start to heal as a family unit. We will provide you and your loved ones with a calm and neutral environment so that you can begin to put the pieces of your family back together.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

An understandable concern that many of our interested clients raise with one of our recovery specialists is the cost associated with your treatment plan. Remember, Legacy Healing Center works with and accepts various private insurance carriers that may help defer most if not all of the cost associated with your treatment plan.

We believe that a person that genuinely wants to overcome their addiction should always have the opportunity to do so. Therefore, if you have concerns regarding the cost associated with your plan, please let us know. We will do everything that we can to work with you to receive the care you need.

How Does Drug Detox Work?

You should never overlook the important role that drug detox can have on your overall recovery. If you are still in active addiction when you initially reach out to one of our recovery specialists, we will first recommend that you work through a detox program first. The reason for this is that you will experience certain physical and psychological consequences within a few hours of the time that you are no longer consuming your drug of choice.

One of the dangerous aspects of detox and withdrawal is that the symptoms are unpredictable and quickly become hazardous. The reason for this is that you may not be able to take care of yourself at certain times. This is one of the crucial reasons you should never try to go through the detox process unless you are in the care of a trained medical professional.

How Does Alcohol Detox Work?

Alcohol detox is very similar to drug detox in many ways. Our alcohol detox program provides you with the opportunity to work through the withdrawal symptoms that a person struggling with an addiction to alcohol is sure to experience in the first few hours and days of their sobriety. In most cases, clients spend at least one week in detox, with the height of your symptoms peaking anywhere between the second and third day.

Common examples of alcohol withdrawal symptoms include nausea, an increase in anxiety as well as shakiness. When you come to Legacy, you can count on our team to provide you with the around-the-clock care that you need to navigate through your withdrawal symptoms. We will go above and beyond to ensure that you are well taken care of and continuously monitor your symptoms. When you initially reach out to Legacy, any one of our recovery specialists will be able to provide you with more information about our detox programs and coordinating your enrollment.

How Long Is Rehab?

As addiction experts, we realize that addiction is not something that develops overnight. As a result, it will take longer than just a few days for you to overcome and work through your addiction. Our treatment programs last anywhere from 30 to 90 days. Before you make the final decision regarding the length of your treatment plan, we always recommend that you first speak to a member of our team regarding your plans. He or she may be able to give you a perspective on your plan that you may not have considered before. Remember, our team is here to help you make the most out of your recovery journey, so feel free to speak with us at any time.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?

In recent years, the fact that addiction is a disease is something that insurance carriers have acknowledged. As a result, many insurance companies will offer some type of coverage for an addiction treatment program. It’s important to remember that the terms of every insurance carrier are different. Many insurance companies will not cover the cost associated with a detox program; however, they will completely cover your time in a residential program.

If you feel overwhelmed or confused by the terms of your coverage, don’t worry. The Legacy team is here to help you cut through the red tape so that you have a clear understanding of your insurance terms. We recommend that you let one of our recovery specialists know if you have private insurance when you first reach out to us so that we can begin to work on determining the terms of your coverage as soon as possible.
