Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park

Spending the day at the zoo is always a fun adventure for every member of your family. Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park features over 1300 different animals. You can take advantage of feeding a giraffe, petting a stingray, or feeling the hard and bumpy shell of a giant tortoise. The zoo is open seven days per week all year round. On Sunday, the zoo is open between 9 AM to 5 PM and 9:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday.

Busch Gardens

Without question, Busch Gardens is one of the most popular attractions in Tampa Pay. You can easily spend the entire day getting lost in all of the attractions that this theme park has to offer. Glazer Children’s Museum

Are you traveling with young children? If so, you should set aside time to visit the Glazer Children’s Museum. From the moment that you step foot into this museum, your little one is sure to be entranced by the hands-on activities throughout the building. Over and above the awesome attractions, the other fantastic thing about this museum is the fact that it is open seven days a week. Although the hours are limited to between 1 PM and 6 PM on Sundays, during the rest of the week the museum is open between 10 AM and 5 PM.

George M. Steinbrenner Field

If you are a baseball fan and find yourself making plans during baseball season, you should check out the baseball schedule at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The New York Yankees call this field their home during spring training. Between April and September, the Tampa Tarpons, an affiliate of the Yankees, play roughly 70 games. With ticket prices starting as low as $5.00, visiting the stadium is a budget-friendly excursion.

Adventure Island

While Tampa is beautiful, it can definitely get hot during the day. If you are looking for a way to beat the heat, Adventure Island is the perfect place to accomplish that goal. Have you ever wanted to learn more about crocodiles and other wildlife in the Tampa area? Take a trip over to Croc Encounters. This unique park offers self-guided and educational tours that teach you about crocodiles, tortoises, turtles, and snakes.
