What Is Drug Rehab Like?

Your experience at Legacy Healing will be specific to your needs. During your stay here, you will participate in different types of counseling that will help you have a better understanding of the events in your life that may have navigated you toward addiction. Additionally, you will begin to learn what you can do to maintain your newfound sobriety. The different therapy types that will play your recovery’s central role include family therapy, behavioral therapy, and group. We strongly encourage our clients to maintain an open mind and heart during the course of their treatment to improve the possibility of achieving their recovery goals.

Individual therapy is another example of counseling that will play a prominent role during your treatment. During these sessions, you will have the chance to speak with one of our counselors on a personal level. Individual therapy gives you an excellent opportunity to talk about the traumas that you have experienced in your life and what you can do to work through them. Additionally, you can discuss any changes you feel need to be made to your program.

What to Expect?

One of the understandable concerns among clients thinking about coming to Legacy Healing for treatment is what they will expect when they get here. The answer to this question depends on the type of treatment plan you select. For example, if you decide to work through our outpatient program, you will come to Legacy Healing only for treatment for specific days and times. However, our inpatient program clients will live on our campus for a set number of days. We will provide you with all of the luxuries that you would find at home, including a warm and comfortable bed, delicious and healthy food, and the peace of mind of knowing that you are in a safe location.  

Why Legacy?  

There are several reasons why our clients decide to come to Legacy Healing Center over other treatment facilities closer to Cleveland. First and foremost, we work with our clients on a personalized level to develop a recovery plan that suits their individual goals. When you are not actively participating in treatment, we give you the opportunity to enjoy the various amenities on our campus. Before you start to make plans, however, we always recommend that you take the time to put together a plan to find and attend regular 12-step meetings. Taking this step will help you maintain your sobriety once you return home to Cleveland. Once you feel as though you have developed a healthy routine, you can plan your fun. Here are a few great options if you need some suggestions of places to visit:

Historical Little Italy

When you are in the mood for authentic Italian food, you should make a reservation at any one of the delicious restaurants in Historic Little Italy. Once you are done with dinner, you can walk a few steps in seemingly any direction for a mouth water dessert or Italian chocolate. There are roughly 20 restaurants in this area, all within a 0.3-mile radius.

Greater Cleveland Aquarium

The Greater Cleveland Aquarium features not only an abundance of aquatic exhibits but information that helps you to learn more about your favorite maritime life. Visitors typically spend one to two hours learning about seahorses, sharks, octopus, and archerfish. You can visit the Greater Cleveland Aquarium seven days a week between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Rocky River Reservation

Are you looking for a quiet place to enjoy the great outdoors? You should consider spending time at the Rocky River Reservation. Whether you like to bike, jog, or just need to take a walk after a long day, this location provides you the perfect environment. Also, this venue hosts concerts on Fridays during the summer and gives you the option to take paddleboard lessons when the weather allows.
