When you are amid active addiction, the relationships you have with the people around you tend to falter. Many people struggling with addiction typically become somewhat anti-social as a way to protect their habit. Sadly, another relationship that usually suffers from your addiction is the one you have with God.
At drug rehab center in Long Island, we take the time to help you not only heal physically and emotionally, but we also provide you with the support you need to begin to reestablish your unique connection with God.
One of the top ways that the programs at Legacy Healing Center are different from other treatment facilities is that we offer you the option to grow and expand your faith during the time that you are here. Our individual counseling sessions give you an excellent opportunity to speak with a team member in a personalized setting. During this time, you can discuss your growing spirituality and how you feel you are progressing in your program. This time is also a tremendous change to explore the possible traumatic events in your life that may have led you down addiction.
Therapy will play a focal role in your overall recovery. A form of treatment that you will consistently take part in during your time at Legacy is group therapy. During these guided sessions, you will have the chance to share what you think about specific topics associated with addiction. You will also listen to the insight of other clients that are going through their recovery journey.
Your budding spirituality may be something that you feel uncomfortable talking to your family about, especially after addiction chaos. If you are ready to speak with your family about your growing beliefs, we can arrange a family therapy session. These meetings provide a neutral setting where you can talk not only about the damage that may have been caused during your time in active addiction but also discuss the positive spiritual changes you continue to make in your life.
Absolutely beautiful! Staff is so caring and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone who is struggling and looking to heal. This is the place for you!
Legacy really changed my life for the better. I was down and out, my life in shambles and didn’t know what to do. Legacy showed me there was a light at the end of the tunnel and gave me the tools to get there. The staff at this facility are genuine and truly care and it shows.
Kaleb was well on his way to being another death sta-tistic victim to Heroin addiction. God led us to Legacy Healing Center. They treated him with love and respect. Showing true concern and patience. Kaleb is a life saved. He is thriving and making positive life choices. His potential is unlimited!
Wonderful staff, the treatment program was excellent. They really treat you like family here and genuinely care about you. The 4 months I’ve spent here have been great, I’ve learned a lot about myself and ways to cope with my struggles.
I’ve been to a few treatment centers and this one is by far the best from the living quarters to the clinical and therapeutic experience. 5/5 would recommend. They continue to reach out and stay in contact.
Legacy Healing Center saved my life. The entire staff focuses on every individual as a separate case. No one is left behind. I wouldn’t be here without the staff at Legacy.
Honestly, it’s not what you imagine when thinking “detox.” Legacy made my experience so comfortable from beds, food, staff and such a clean facility. Besides all that they literally gave me life back. Forever thankful.
The Bible continuously cautions against any type of addiction. When Jesus gave us the Lord’s prayer, he states in Matthew 6:13, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Any addiction is a form of temptation, and you should always do everything you can to stay away from it. However, the Bible also sends messages of hope as long as you continue to believe and trust in the plan that God has for you. This is evident in Philippians 4:13 where it is said, “I Can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
When you return home to Long Island after finishing rehab at Legacy in South Florida, you must focus on developing a routine of taking part in activities that will help to reinforce your sobriety. For example, one of the first things you should do is work on finding 12-step meetings you can attend daily for the first few weeks that you are home. Attending different meetings will give you a good mix of insight regarding the work you need to continue to maintain your sobriety. However, to help yourself continue to grow in your spirituality, you should also make it a point to begin to become a member of one of the many churches on Long Island.
