Drug Rehab Centers for Charlotte Residents

Our drug rehab center’s central premise is to provide your mind and body with the time that it needs to heal and begin to recover from drugs. The leading way to do this is to remove yourself from the people, places, and things that may have influenced you to use your drug of choice. For example, if your friends are also actively addicted to drugs, it may be challenging to complete your recovery in that environment.

Our drug rehab center gives you a protected environment to take the initial steps toward sobriety. By participating in certain forms of therapy and various activities on our campus, you can learn what you need to ensure that your recovery and sobriety remain intact once you are done with treatment.

Alcohol Rehab Centers for Residents of Charlotte

Unfortunately, a common misconception associated with alcohol treatment centers is that they have a bad aura. When you come to our treatment center, we work to present you with a different type of experience and environment. At Legacy Healing, we cultivate a positive atmosphere with a bright and beautiful facility filled with lots of space and an open floor plan.

Addiction Treatment Centers for Charlotte Residents

One of the typical questions that we receive from clients interested in coming to Legacy for treatment is what they will experience at our facility in South Florida. To provide you with a more accurate answer, you must first decide whether you plan to participate in our inpatient program or one of our outpatient programs.

If you decide to enroll in our Partial Hospitalization Program, also known as PHP, you will remain at our facility around the clock for a set amount of time. You will sleep in one of our comfortable rooms and eat meals made by our talented chefs. Above all, you will receive the continuous care that you need to begin to recover from addiction.

Legacy Healing Center also offers two different types of outpatient programs. Our Intensive Outpatient Program allows you to come to our facility on certain days for a minimum of nine hours per week. You will coordinate with our team regarding your specific schedule to ensure that your treatment never interferes with other responsibilities that you need to meet. Even if you have gone through our inpatient program, we will always suggest that you go through our intensive outpatient program when you are done with your inpatient program to reinforce what you learned during your time in our inpatient program.

Our Outpatient Program is excellent for a client that has to work or attend school at set times during the day. You will still have the chance to engage in our recovery program. However, your therapy and activity times are made based on your specific schedule. As long as you are committed to your recovery, the Legacy Healing Center team will do everything possible to allow you to do so.

Each program incorporates different therapy styles to provide you with more insight into various aspects of your addiction. Group therapy, individual therapy, behavioral therapy, and even family therapy will help you understand the effects of your addiction. For example, during group therapy, you will interact with other Legacy clients and discuss a variety of topics associated with addiction. Listening to fellow rehab attendees and sharing your own experiences can go a long way in your overall recovery.

Individual therapy, also known as one-on-one therapy, gives you a chance to share personal experiences that may have led to your addiction. If you have suffered from a specific trauma or event in your life, you don’t feel comfortable talking about it in a group setting. Also, these meetings give you the chance to talk about your feelings regarding your recovery program. It is a perfect time to talk about extending your plan if you feel as though you would like to stay at Legacy longer.

Your time at Legacy will also be filled with different events that can help you learn more about yourself. Do you like to workout? Be sure to ask about exercising with our personal trainer. Do you want to explore different career opportunities? We are here to help.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

When you are ready to commit yourself to addiction recovery, we never want anything to hold you back. One of the leading concerns among prospective clients is the cost associated with treatment. While this is certainly an understandable worry, you can rest assured that the Legacy Healing Center team will do everything we can to work with you to make treatment possible for you.

We always recommend that you view the cost of rehab as an investment in yourself. Instead of poisoning your body with drugs, you will fill it with healthy and nutritious food during your time at Legacy. Instead of feeling depressed and embarrassed because of your addiction, you will learn about what you can do to keep yourself in a healthy mentality while developing a better understanding of what spurred your addiction in the first place.

How Does Drug Detox Work?

The first few days after attempting to stop consuming your drug of choice are critical for several reasons. First and foremost, your body will start to begin the physical effects of no longer being under the include of your drug of choice. What makes this time frame dangerous is that there is always a possibility that the physical withdrawal effects can turn deadly.

For example, if you are addicted to short-acting opioids such as heroin, you will typically begin to feel physical withdrawal symptoms between eight and 24 hours of the last time you used the drug. These symptoms generally last anywhere between four and ten days. If you have an addiction to methadone or another longer-acting opioid, it may be between two and four days before you begin to feel withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms as a result of an addiction to benzodiazepines start to manifest within one to four days. Unfortunately, severe withdrawal symptoms may not peak for up to two weeks.

When you first speak to one of our intake specialists, we encourage you to be completely transparent regarding your drug of choice and your drug use. This will provide us with valuable insight regarding placing you in our detox program and allow us to prepare for your arrival.

How Does Alcohol Detox Work?

The premise of alcohol detox is similar in many ways to drug detox. If you are still actively drinking when you initially call in and speak to one of our intake specialists, they will strongly encourage you to go through our detox program. It’s important to remember that the ramifications of detoxing from alcohol can be just as deadly as those associated with detoxing from drugs.

Alcohol withdrawal and the associated symptoms comes in three stages. The first stage usually begins within a few hours after your last drink, and you may feel nausea and an increase in your overall anxiety. The second stage traditionally sets in within 24 to 72 hours after your last drink. You will likely feel an increase in your body temperature and general confusion, while other people may also feel a change in their blood pressure or an irregular heart rate. The withdrawal symptoms that can manifest in the third stage are ones that can be deadly. Seizures, a dangerous fever or hallucinations are all possible between two to four days after your last drink.

In the majority of cases, alcohol withdrawal symptoms tend to dissipate after five to seven days. At that point, you can begin to work with our team on your treatment plan with a clear head. Remember, you can always modify your recovery plan as you progress further along in your journey. However, you should always finalize your intentions for treatment without being under the influence of alcohol.

How Long Is Rehab?

The length of time that you spend at Legacy Healing Center is a decision that we recommend that you make with one of our counselors. They will take the time to explain to you the different benefits associated with each program. At that point, the two of you can talk about which program is best for you based on your personal or professional responsibilities. A treatment plan can last as little as 30 days or as long as 90 days. Usually, the days that you spend in rehab do not include the days that you spend in detox.

Opting to enroll in a 30 days recovery program is an excellent first step in your journey. There are a variety of reasons that people decide to go through our 30-day program. Do you see that you have an addiction and that you need help, but you are afraid to commit to a plan that is longer than 30 days? Do you have personal or professional responsibilities that you need to meet? Our 30-day program gives you the first taste of what life without the influence of addiction can be like.

Clients also have the chance to enroll in our 60-day program. During those first two months, you will still take part in different counseling types, but you will give yourself an extended chance to let those lessons and coping techniques to set in. When possible, we recommend that clients attend our long term 90-day program. We believe that our 90-day program gives you the best opportunity to achieve sustained sobriety once you are done with treatment at Legacy.

We understand that recovery does not end when you leave our facility. With this in mind, we created our Addiction Aftercare program. Addiction Aftercare gives you the chance to remain connected with the Legacy Healing Center team after returning home. Whether you need assistance in finding a meeting or would like to continue your therapy routine, just let us know, and we will help you enroll in this program.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?

It’s undeniable that over the last few years, there has been a noticeable uptick in all forms of addiction. Major insurance companies have come to acknowledge the severe consequences of addiction, which is why most will now cover a stay in a rehab facility either entirely or partially.
It’s essential to keep in mind that specific considerations may be considered when it comes to what insurance will cover. For instance, did you recently go through a treatment program at another facility? If so, your insurance carrier may not be willing not to include another stay until a certain amount of time has passed. Additionally, there are insurance companies that will not completely cover your stay in detox.

If you have insurance coverage, be sure to let one of our intake specialists know when you first reach out to Legacy. We can always help you learn more about the specifics of what you are covered for any what you aren’t.
