What Does the Average Day
Look Like While in Rehab?

Your experience in treatment will depend on a variety of different factors. It’s important to remember that when you come to Legacy, you will have the chance to work with a member of our team to develop your own treatment program that will likely be different from that of other clients that are also at our facility. For example, if you decide to enroll in our inpatient treatment program, you will live at our facility during the course of your program whereas our outpatient clients will only come to Legacy during set days and times throughout the week. When you first reach out to Legacy, one of our recovery specialists will be able to provide you with a more detailed overview of what you can expect when you come to our facility for treatment.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

We believe that the best way for you to overcome your addiction is to participate in a number of different forms of therapy. Individual therapy, group therapy and behavioral therapy are all examples of counseling that you will experience when you come to Legacy. We also realize that your addiction may have had a negative impact on your relationship with your family members. When you feel ready, we can also introduce family therapy into your treatment plan so that you can begin to take steps to reconnect with the people that you love most in your life and can give you tremendous support as you work through your recovery.

Group Therapy

Clients that have attended a 12-step meeting will notice that participating in group therapy will be very similar. During these guided sessions, you will speak about your thoughts and opinions regarding topics that are associated with addiction and recovery. Other people in your group will also share their ideas regarding these topics. We encourage you to actively participate in group therapy because it will help to broaden your understanding about these important subjects.

One-on-One Therapy

Individual therapy plays an important factor in your recovery due to the fact that it gives you the opportunity to meet with a member of our team in a one-on-one environment. We understand that that there may be several aspects of your life that you simply may not feel comfortable sharing in a group type setting. Individual helps you to receive the personal therapy that you need to overcome certain painful memories. Additionally, one on one therapy is an excellent way to access your progress in your treatment program. If any changes need to be made, we can do so during these sessions.
